October 8, 2016.
I was experiencing some mild occasional nausea and my oncologist scheduled some tests.
I had an MRI scan on Thursday, Oct 6, and they found 3 lesions in my brain (2 cm, 2.1 cm and 4.1cm). I will start a new round of aggressive radiation on Monday, Oct 10 for 3 weeks. I will take a one month break, get another MRI and, if the lesions have reduced, get a special "one-shot" radiation to complete the treatment. I am also taking a steroid (Dexamethasone) and I will most likely lose my hair this time around.
October 12, 2016,
3 treatments done and no side effects yet. Actually feel vey good!
October 15, 2016,
5 treatments done and still no side effects! Next treatment on Monday, Oct. 17.
10th treatment received on Friday. Still no adverse effects. 4 more treatments to go on this round.
October 24, 2016
11th treatment done. Some hair loss, but not bad. 3 more treatments to go. Started tapering off the steroid and started an antibiotic (Fluconazole).
October 27, 2016
14th and final radiation treatment completed today! Still no adverse reactions. Hair is falling out from top of head, but not too bad. No more appointments until November 30th.

I had an MRI on Thursday, 12/8 and preliminary results were pretty good. Will get schedule for next treatment within the week after more detailed analysis of MRI.
December 19, 2016
Had first targeted radiation treatment this morning on the largest lesion. Have another treatment on Tuesday, then treatment on all three lesions on Thursday. Also back on the steroid for a week or so. Then I get to wait for a while before next MRI and/or PET scan. I still feel fine.
December 20, 2016
Had second targeted radiation treatment today. I still feel pretty good. Final treatment scheduled for Thursday that will target all three lesions.
December 22, 2016
Final treatment complete! No pain or any other side effects experienced. I will taper off the steroid for about a week and be medication free! I will get another MRI in a couple of months after the ongoing action of the radiation has subsided. Doctor is very pleased with my progress.
January 6, 2017
Had a chest x-ray as follow up on lungs. Will get results on Monday.

I had appointment with my oncologist today. X-ray looked good and it was exactly what he wanted to see. I have a CT scan scheduled for March 6th and an MRI on March 8th. I will get those results on March 13th. Until then it will be quiet as I have no other appointments.
March 8, 2017
I had a CT scan on Monday and an MRI today. I see my oncologist next Monday to get the results.
March 13, 2017
I just met with my oncologist and all scans were looking great. No growth detected and lesions have shrunk. They are still there, but no activity, which is what was expected. I have another follow-up with oncologist in six weeks and another MRI six weeks after that. All is looking pretty good.
April 24, 2017
I met with my oncologist for follow-up and all is good. I will have one more MRI in six weeks and then get results a couple of days later. This should be the last action on this chapter of the saga!
I will still be getting ongoing follow-up checks going forward.
July 17, 2017
I had a follow up visit with oncologist and all looks good. I will get another MRI on August 23, then another visit with oncologist on the 23rd.

I noticed swelling in my right elbow yesterday. I went to doctor today and was diagnosed with bursitis. Waiting for orthopedic doctor to schedule draining the bursa sac within the next few days. Very routine!
